Association for Sports was declared under Ministerial Decree No. 426 of 2009, issued by the Ministry of Community Development, as a public-benefit association under the name (Association for Sports), bearing registration number 128.
Our Story
The Idea & Foundation
The declaration of Association for Sports in the United Arab Emirates comes at this stage in the history of sports work as a result of the directives of the wise leadership, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, in supporting and strengthening the sports sector, and translating the government strategy announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, in which sport occupied an important place.
The declaration of the Association constitutes a highly impactful addition that will contribute to consolidating the concept of professionalism, by elevating the level of the sports profession through focused efforts to achieve sustainable development of the expertise of the nation's specialists and workers in the field, empowering them to carry out their roles in developing and advancing UAE sport.

Encouraging those affiliated with the sports sector to engage in organized professional work.
Holding training courses aimed at advancing members and the profession.
Publishing specialized scientific bulletins and courses in the field of the profession.
Join Us
Membership Categories
Three membership paths designed for every stage of a sports career.
Honorary Membership
Granted by the Board to individuals of standing and opinion who have rendered great services to the UAE, or who have distinguished activity in the field of physical education services, and to whom membership conditions do not apply.
Associate Membership
Granted to non-citizens who hold the same qualifications stipulated for working membership, provided they are residents of the United Arab Emirates.
Working Membership
Granted to UAE nationals holding a university degree in physical education or its equivalent, who are working in or interested in the sports field.
Conditions of Affiliation
- 01Must not be less than eighteen years of age.
- 02Must not have been convicted of a criminal penalty, a penalty restricting freedom, or a crime involving dishonor or breach of trust, unless rehabilitated in both cases.
- 03Must be of good conduct and reputation.
- 04Must be working in or interested in the field of physical education, or hold specialized professional training courses in the Association's field, approved by the Board.
- 05Must accept the Articles of Association and its accompanying instructions.
- 06Must obtain the approval of the Board of Directors.
